Paulerspury Dec 7 1827
My Dear William,
It is with the greatest sorrow I have to inform you of the Death of your Dear Brother John the Greef we are all in may beter be felt than described he was taken ill the 4th September and died the 21st I hope my dear boy you will not be two ancies about the things of this life see how soon we may be taken from them poor dear boy he was looking forward for something great but it is all bl;asted now he is consined to the Chambers of death never to behold or have swee comunen with us any more O the thoughts of it Pearefs my very Hart I hope you will not let this pass un thought of and think thear is nothing so serting as death and after Death the Judgement.
